Whathoney… I think that it is a little bit of a "set up" in that the host is clearly "in" on the joke… and Andy is playing a character, which I think most of the audience eventually catches onto… but it's all improvised, clearly not rehearsed, you're correct regarding that… and it's great. Anyway - what happened in this Andy WiIliams appearance you've mentioned? More details might make it easier for someone to assist you!

Oh wow how I miss Andy Kaufman. I came here hoping to find the clip with Andy Kaufman on the Andy Williams show, It was one of Andys very first TV appearances and the first time I ever heard of him and it was the strangest thing I ever saw I have not seen it anywhere since and want to see it again so bad. Does anyone know where I can see it? This by the way was not a set up rehearsed stunt. He really was a real bachelor contestant on the dating game show and no one expected this What a character
